ABOUT US
Two different professional paths that met at HSE Vision. We bring different experiences, but we work by the same principles.
Balázs Attila Szabó
Occupational Safety Specialist
Lifting Equipment Administrator | Educator
I spent nine years in law enforcement before turning to occupational safety. From that background I bring consistency, a sense of responsibility, and systems thinking. I also learned that rules only have real value if they actually work in practice.
As an occupational safety professional, I've gained experience mainly in multinational corporate settings and construction projects, often working with international teams in a foreign-language professional environment. I like to first understand how an organisation works: where it stands, what's working well, where recurring problems occur, and where it wants to get to. Process development and optimisation are close to my heart.
A pedagogical mindset also plays an important role in my work. It's not enough to just say what needs to be done differently — for me it also matters that people understand the reasoning behind it, feel free to ask questions, and are able to make good decisions on their own.
Perhaps what I love most about this profession is when I no longer have to say what the right decision would be — because someone recognises it for themselves.
Nikolett Szabó-Páfrány
Occupational Safety Specialist
Fire Safety Officer | Lifting Equipment Administrator | Chemist
I started my career as a chemist, and at a young age I already experienced how decisive a role safety plays in a high-risk chemical plant. That's what led me toward occupational safety: I wanted to better understand the risks, the rules, and how to provide genuine support to the people working in this field.
Later I gained experience mainly on construction projects and in the energy sector. On-site presence matters a great deal to me: I like consulting with managers and employees, understanding the work processes, and finding, together with them, solutions that are professionally sound and actually work in practice. It's especially important to me that everyone feels their own responsibility for safe work.
In my work I am precise and decisive, and I like to see things through once we've started them. I don't believe in complicated solutions, but in ones that are transparent, workable, and genuinely help everyday work.
I believe occupational safety isn't only about correcting mistakes. It's just as important to notice and reinforce what people are already doing well.
